Adultery has its series premiere on TVNZ 1 on Thursday 5 November at 8.30pm, and 1News lists it on TVNZ+ the same day. The Freeview guide shows one screening of it in the week it covers, so a second night is not yet confirmed, and neither is the number of episodes.
What time is Adultery on TVNZ 1?
8.30pm on Thursday 5 November, running to 9.30pm. The Freeview guide labels it “Series Premiere” and rates it M. We read the guide on Wednesday 4 November, when it was open from that day to Wednesday 11 November.
The nights around it matter. The guide has 1News at Six from 6pm, then The Q+A People’s Debate from 7pm to 8.30pm, and Adultery straight after. TVNZ’s own election coverage announcement gave the debate as 7pm on 5 November on TVNZ 1 and TVNZ+. That is why Seven Sharp is off that night. A debate that runs long could nudge the 8.30pm start, so treat the time as a guide time.

TVNZ+. 1News’ November preview lists it as “November 5, TVNZ 1 and TVNZ+”, which puts the stream on the same day as the broadcast. What it does not say is whether every episode is released at once or one a week. We will not guess; check the show page on TVNZ+ after the premiere.

Who is in the cast of Adultery?
Dominic Cooper and Romola Garai are the two names TVNZ and 1News give. The Freeview blurb says a chance encounter lights a spark between two characters, Beth and Tom, “but as their connection grows, so does that of their teenage kids.” 1News describes the pair as single parents whose passionate connection risks tearing apart both families.
Wikipedia’s entry for the series, a British production, names more actors: Shelley Conn, Matthew McNulty, Johnny Sanpher and Leila Khan. We have not seen the credits, so we have left out who plays whom. We also leave the plot there. It is a new drama and the premiere hasn’t aired yet.
How many episodes does Adultery have?
Not yet confirmed. Wikipedia and TVmaze both carry a number, but neither is the broadcaster, and ITV’s own press page would not open for us. TVNZ has not given a count in anything we read. We will add it here once TVNZ or ITV states it.
