Celebrity Treasure Island NZ Winners: Every Season Since 2019 and What Each Charity Got

Updated 4 November: We searched the Freeview guide for all channels from Wednesday 4 November to Wednesday 11 November and found no Celebrity Treasure Island listing; the Season 7 Taskmaster NZ final mentioned below has now aired.

Nix Adams is the latest winner of Celebrity Treasure Island in New Zealand, taking NZ$105,000 for the Child Abuse Prevention Foundation in the 2026 final on TVNZ 2, ahead of actor Liv Parker and content creator Louis Davis. The show isn't in the Freeview guide for Wednesday 4 November to Wednesday 11 November, a 2027 season is not yet confirmed, and TVNZ+ has six seasons to rewatch at no charge.

Six celebrity seasons have gone to air since the show came back in 2019, and each one ended with a single winner digging up a chest of money for charity. Here they all are, with the two people each winner beat to the treasure.

The final is a three-way treasure hunt, so every season has two runners-up and we've listed both. Each name in the table is in at least two places: Wikipedia's season list, plus 1News or The Spinoff's coverage of that year's final.

There are gaps in the years. Wikipedia puts the missing 2020 season down to the pandemic, and TVmaze's season list jumps from 2024 straight to 2026. The 2026 season also moved: the four before it all started in September, and this one opened on 27 April.

How much did each winner's charity get?

The grand prize has been NZ$100,000 in all six seasons. TVNZ's own show page still pitches it as $100K for the winner's chosen charity. The cheque is sometimes bigger, because smaller charity challenges run through the season and the winner keeps what they've banked.

That's where Adams's figure comes from. 1News reported NZ$100,000 from the grand prize and another NZ$5,000 earned in an earlier challenge. The Spinoff's interview with her quotes the NZ$100,000 on its own, which is the same prize counted without the extra.

Two earlier winners topped her total. 1News had Foliaki handing over NZ$110,000 in 2024 after winning two NZ$5,000 challenges along the way, and quoted Parker in 2021 on giving Rainbow Youth NZ$107,500. We haven't found a published all-in figure for Mustapic, Tuke or Wallace, so their rows stay at the grand prize.

How Nix Adams won the 2026 season

By getting to the chest first in a hunt all three finalists led at some point. 1News described Adams, Parker and Davis racing around the island collecting symbol cards before Adams uncovered the treasure. The season was filmed in Northland with 16 celebrities, and Bree Tomasel and Jayden Daniels hosted.

The win broke a run. All five winners from 2019 to 2024 were men, and The Spinoff noted Adams is the first woman to find the treasure since the show was rebooted. 1News called her the first wahine Māori to win in the modern era.

On the date: TVmaze lists the last competitive episode for Wednesday 27 May 2026, and The Spinoff's piece of 28 May puts the final on the night before. Wikipedia's season table says 26 May. We've gone with the 27th because two of the three agree.

What about the 2001 to 2004 seasons?

The celebrity version first ran three times before a long break. Per Wikipedia's franchise list, John “Cocksy” Cocks won in 2001, Greer Robson in 2003 and Josh Kronfeld in 2004, for charity prizes of $20,000 to $30,000. We've only checked those three against that one source, so they sit outside the table above.

Where can I rewatch Celebrity Treasure Island?

TVNZ+. The show page lists “6 Seasons” under Reality, Local and Family. It needs a login and plays with ads, and there's no subscription fee. What every NZ streaming service costs sets TVNZ+ beside the paid ones.

On television it's a TVNZ 2 show when it's in season, which you can pick up with an aerial or a dish. Freeview vs Sky covers what each gets you. It isn't on air now: we searched the Freeview guide on Wednesday 4 November and found no listing for it on any channel through to Wednesday 11 November.

Is there a 2027 season of Celebrity Treasure Island?

Not yet confirmed. We couldn't find a TVNZ announcement of a 2027 season, a cast or a start date when we looked on Sunday 11 October. The 2026 run was announced in TVNZ's line-up in mid-January and its cast was named on 13 April, two weeks before it started.

The move from September to April this year means the old timing isn't a guide to the next one. When TVNZ names a date, this page gets it first, and the next winner goes on the top row of the table.

For the other local competitions, see every Taskmaster NZ champion, whose Season 7 final aired on Tuesday 13 October, and The Traitors NZ winners and prizes. Both are filed under Winners. Schmidt-Peke, a 2023 finalist, is best known from Shortland Street, and our Shortland Street page tracks that show's dates. The rest of the local line-up is in Season Guides.
